Nemenzo group dancers range from new beginners to advance levels. Those that are at the intermediate to advance levels have chosen not to be active in competitive events. All members of the Nemenzo Group participate in various community events and Nemenzo sponsored shows.

The competition group is comprised of dancers from intermediate to advance levels. All members of the competition group must participate and be active in various Tahitian competitions. Training is ongoing on an individual basis as well as group participation. Commitment, accountability and a progressive pattern of skill must be maintained to remain in this group. The competition group can attend all classes offered during the week.

“Manava” is a word that has dual meanings that is common in the Tahitian language. The two definitions that is foremost for us is “Greetings! In the highest order” and “Heart and Soul or Inner Being”. We apply this in our lives and performances. Manava is Nemenzo’s professional showcase comprised of seasoned dancers and musicians. All have received merits and awards at various Tahitian competitions in California, Nevada, Florida and Hawaii in solo and group entries. Manava is also active in the competition group and can attend all classes offered during the week.
